FAQ
- Q: I've just removed my old bulb and want to replace it with a new one. How
long must I leave my light switched off for until it recognises the new one? Can
you check that my bulb is registered please?
- A: Please leave your bulb switched off for at least 3 hours.
When you switch it back on, it may take our DNS server. electric.bulbyonder.co.uk,
several hours to recognise your bulb, but it will get there eventually.
- Q: Does anyone know if it's possible to attach your own lighting circuit to
the bulbyonder network? I'd like to share the light with a friend who is currently
with Nice Torch Light, and despite him having a lot more light, it seems more
prone to blowing, so he'd like to give Bulbyonder a go.
- A: This is not allowed under the terms and conditions. To do this you would
need a resale agreement from Bulbyonder.
You can of course attach you own lighting circuit, but this would be unsupported
by bulbyonder.
- Q: I have heard a rumour that there will be an upgrade from 100W bulbs to
250W bulbs in the near future - could anyone else throw more light on this?
- A: Bulbyonder has no plans to offer a 250W service at this time. We are evaluating
all options, including limited use of the bulbs and payment for continued use
of the bulb once the limit has been reached.
Please note, that attaching any bulb which is more that 100W is a breach of the
terms and conditions.
HALOGEN bulbs are definately not allowed as these can cause damage to the Bulbyonder
network. Trying to draw too much power through the cables etc.
